Snowdog
The month started with the usual hurry for finishing up as many things planned for the year as possible added to the whole Christmas rush. As a result I was already looking forward for spending the Christmas time here, home, with family and friends. The most beautiful part of the year which always flies away so fast. We’re always celebrating Christmas together, it was always like this, and I think the only part of the year which did not change since I was a child. It’s always a good time to remember and never forget where do I come from, anywhere in the world I am. However I have it on my bucket list to spend the Christmas once in a warm place. As you already guessed I come from a place where during Christmas there is usually snow.
However I stay currently in Germany I am not German. I was raised in Transylvania, which one of the tree mayor parts of Romania. But now comes the twist. I am not Romanian neither. I am Hungarian. Both of my parents are Hungarian, as all of my four grandparents do and their parents as well. When I was in the high school once I did a research on my descent, and I am sure that my family is living as Hungarian in Transylvania for more than 120 years.
So I spend around 10 days home, and I could shoot some landscape pictures. This is next to my hometown, Marosvasarhely (Targu Mures).
The next three I took while traveling on the valley of the Mures river, next to a smaller town called Toplita, situated inside the East Carpathians.
One of the most lovely part of being home is, that my parents got a new dog, a young freshman Border Collie, who is called Betyar. He are his first portraits. Isn’t he cute?
I always realize that I miss some things from home, but my thirst for travel and adventure is more stronger than that. The things I miss is the talks with my parents and especially my brother. So I think it’s a great close of the year that we can go out each day in the forest with the dog and just have our brotherly talks.
So here we are, 2016 it’s over but it has been amazing. However I’ll make sure, there is more to come. Do more, live more.
